SAMVAAD, the political science society of PGDAV college, is among one of its renowned and prestigious societies. As the name suggests, SAMVAAD has its roots in DIALOGUE. So, dialogue is the very essence of SAMVAAD. By conducting a number of debates, discussions, seminars etc, over the years, SAMVAAD has been quite successful in establishing itself as a society where dialogue is a pre-eminent virtue. Other than this, there are bunch of events, full of intellectuality and enjoyment at the same time, which are organized, as SAMVAAD pays a great attention towards ensuring the overall development and personality building of their students.

1. On August 16th, 2023, Samvaad hosted an orientation for new students. Teachers and students provided insights into the department's courses and operations. It covered essential details about the curriculum, faculty, and departmental procedures.  
2. On October 19, 2023, Intra College M.E.L.A. quiz, organized by SAMVAAD, inaugurated the departmental activities. The event, a dynamic platform for intellectual engagement, showcased diverse talents. 
3. On October 30, 2023, Samvaad hosted an interactive session for department freshmen, fostering connections with seniors. Through activities and discussions, newcomers integrated into the community, fostering camaraderie and knowledge sharing. The session aimed to create a supportive environment, ensuring a smooth transition into the department.
4. The "Know Your Republic 2024" event, hosted by Samvaad on January 24th, began with an enlightening guest lecture by Professor Rekha Saxena. She delved into the intricate details of India's federal structure as outlined in the constitution, providing attendees with invaluable insights into the nation's governance framework.
5. Followed by the guest lecture, on 24th January 2024 the "Know Your Republic 2024" debate, organized by SAMVAAD, saw 60+ students engaging on the topic: "Do we need women's reservation to empower women?" It sparked insightful discourse, exploring the necessity and efficacy of reservations in empowering women, culminating in a successful and enriching event.
6. On January 25, 2024,The "Know Your Republic 2024" open mic competition, hosted by SAMVAAD focused on India's cultural diversity. The debate event attracted numerous students and was deemed a success. Participants engaged passionately, showcasing diverse perspectives on India's rich cultural tapestry.
7. On January 25th, 2024, Samvaad organized the "Know Your Republic 2024" quiz competition focusing on the Indian Constitution. The event saw 100 students participating, showcasing their knowledge and engaging in spirited debates. It was a resounding success, fostering a deeper understanding of constitutional principles among the participants.
8. On May 5th, 2024, Samvaad prepares to host an alumni meet for the Department of Political Science.To reconnect with former classmates, network with accomplished professionals, and gain insights into career paths. Engaging in lively discussions and forge lasting connections.
9. Fridays for Samvaad, hosted by Samvaad, convene online discussions every Friday. They foster debates on diverse, non-controversial political issues, promoting awareness. These forums serve as platforms for constructive dialogue, engaging participants in insightful exchanges on pertinent topics, contributing to societal understanding and engagement.
10. "Dialogue," the annual magazine of Samvaad, embarks on its journey, weaving together voices, visions, and vibrant narratives. With each page, it mirrors the collective ethos, aspirations, and diversity of its community. Encompassing tales of triumphs, challenges, and perspectives, it heralds the spirit of connectivity and shared storytelling.
