P.G.D.A.V. College takes immense pride in its commitment to community outreach, striving to uplift and support various underprivileged sections of society through the dedicated efforts of its student societies: Taarank, Enactus, and NSS.
The NSS unit of P.G.D.A.V. College is active in its outreach efforts, celebrating World Environment Day, organizing a yoga camp on International Yoga Day, and conducting a food donation drive for flood-affected areas.
Similarly, Enactus, in collaboration with NGOs like Shakti, Shalini and Ashrey, has been actively involved in training women from weaker sections and organizing sessions at the MCD South Zone Centre. These efforts are part of social entrepreneurship projects like Kora Kagaz, Nistaaran, and Sugandha, which aim to empower women and provide them with sustainable livelihood opportunities.
On a parallel path, Taarank organizes heartwarming events on our campus, such as distributing school bags, books, and dresses to children from marginalized families. Additionally, Taarank conducted an essential outreach activity in the Nehru Nagar slums, where college students provided health information and sanitary pads to underprivileged women, aiming to improve their health and well-being.
The diverse activities by NSS, Enactus, and Taarank reflect our college’s unwavering dedication and determination to social welfare and community development, facilitating a more inclusive and supportive society.
