Dr. Shuchi Pahuja is a Professor in Commerce at PGDAV College, University of Delhi, India. She has teaching experience of more than 30 years. Her teaching interests include Auditing, Financial Management, Business Laws, and Investment Management. She obtained her Masters in Commerce and M.Phil. in Finance from Delhi School of Economics, University of Delhi. She also holds Ph.D. in ‘Environmental Accounting and Reporting in India’ from Delhi School of Economics, University of Delhi, India. She is a member of Social Responsibility Research Network (SRRNet), Indian Accounting Association (IAA) and Indian Commerce Association (ICA). Her research interests include CSR, environmental accounting, reporting and auditing, carbon accounting, ethical/socially responsible investing and sustainability in business organizations. She has presented papers is many national and international conferences including 29th Annual congress of European Accounting Association held in Dublin, Ireland in March 2006. She has published in Social Responsibility Journal (SRJ), Emerald; Finance India; ICFAI Journal of Accounting Research, Current World Environment among others. Her paper in SRJ received Outstanding Paper Award in 2007. She has authored a book on ‘Environmental accounting, reporting and auditing: theory, law and empirical evidences’. She has also written a Technical Guide on ‘Environmental Audit’ for Internal Audit Board of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). In addition, she serves as reviewer of some international journals. She contributed 3 Chapters for the Encyclopedia of Corporate Social Responsibility, Springer, Berlin. She has also contributed in Encyclopedia of Sustainable Management as an author and as a Section editor. Currently, she is a member of Editorial Advisory Board of Social Responsibility Journal, Emerald.

Business Law, Financial Management, Fundamentals of investment

One M.Phil. and one Ph.D. completed and awarded under her supervision. Currently, two Ph.D. scholars are pursuing their research under her supervision/joint supervision.

Remained actively engaged in various societies of the college overtime as member or convenor like placement cell, SAF, Commerce society, Analytica, IQAC, Enactus, Hyperion etc.

Organized various workshops and seminars while working in different societies. Co-chaired 2 days national conference on ‘Sustainable development and business: managing organizations of tomorrow’ held on 4th August and 18th August, 2020 at PGDAV college, University of Delhi. During May-June 2020, organized as Convenor Webinar on financial planning during covid 19; Webinar series basic on ICT tools; Webinar series- professional on advanced ICT tools.
