Dr. Phool Chand is a professor specializing in international business at PGDAV College, University of Delhi. He holds an M. Phil. and Ph.D. in International Business from the Department of Commerce at the Delhi School of Economics, University of Delhi.

Currently, one research researcher at Delhi School of Economics, Department of Commerce, is pursuing a Ph.D. under his supervision.
Dr. Phool Chand served on several committees and societies as designated.
1. Growth and Instability in India’s Current Account Balance (M.Phil.)
2. Dynamics and Determinants of India’s Current Account Balance (Ph.D.)
1. He has completed one national project, named EPG-Pathshala (a project initiated by the MHRD of the Govt. of India and UGC), as a content developer for 23 modules covering different areas, including international finance, international business, and the Indian economy.
2. He is also a co-principal director for the ICSSR-sponsored major project on "India-China Trade Deficit: Causes, Effects, and Solutions."
Dr. Phool Chand has conducted an evaluation of two works titled:
1. “Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in India – Policies, Conditions and Procedures (2012), authored by Dr. Niti Bhasin, Publisher: New Century, New Delhi, Published in an article – Pragati- the journal of Indian Economy (ISSN: 2347-4432), 2014, Vol. 1, Issue-1. 26.
2. “International Trade and Economic Growth” authored by Dr. M Lakshmi Narasaiah, Publisher: Discovery Publishing House Pvt. Ltd, Published in an article – in The Horizon-Journal of Social Sciences (ISSN: 0975-5535), July 2015, Vol-06 pp: 135-136.
Dr. Phool Chand is a keen researcher and has contributed more than 30 research papers and articles published in journals of national and international repute, such as Economic & Political Weekly, South Asia Economic Journal, Pacific Business Review International, etc. He also serves as an editor for the "Dhiristkon" Journal, previously listed under UGC-Care.
He has presented more than 25 papers, 20 of which were at international conferences. He has also chaired various conferences of national and international repute. In 2013, IBS Gurgaon organized the Seventh National Conference on Indian Capital Market: Emerging Issues, where he received a Best Research Paper award for his paper "Growth and Instability in India's Current Account Balance: A Policy Period Analysis".
Served as the Session Chair for a Technical Session at the International Conference on "New Normal - Corporate and Self-Management in Current Scenario," hosted by the School of Management at Gautam Buddha University, Greater Noida on June 17, 2020.
